Bottle for Pike Place Brewery beer, 1990

Order an Image
This style of bottle, with painted label and porcelain top, was used when the company started brewing in 1989, and customers were charged a deposit. The bottles were so popular that customers did not return them, and the style was discontinued for a more practical, conventional style in 1991. The name was changed from Pike Place Brewery in 1995 to avoid legal problems with the Pike Place Market authority.
