TV to Game Switchbox used on an Atari Computer 800, ca. 1980
The Atari 800 was designed to compete with Apple Computer's home computing machines. This switchbox, from the Ric Weiland collection, was used to connect the computer to the television set which was used as the monitor. Mr. Weiland was one of Microsoft's first five employees and a philanthropist, serving on the Pride Foundation's Board of Directors from 1997 to 2002.
