Seafair Prime Minister's costume, 1961
Since 1950, the Seattle Seafair festival has recognized notable local individuals as Seafair Royalty, including King Neptune, Prime Minister, and Seafair Queen (Miss Seafair). Bob Ladd, President of Seattle's Pacific Marine Supply Company, was the official Prime Minister for the 1961 Seafair celebrations and he wore the uniform during the Seattle World's Fair ithe following year.
