Seattle Rainiers baseball, 1963

Order an Image
The donor of this baseball was 11 years old when he was treated by his neighbor to a Seattle Rainiers baseball game at Sicks Stadium in 1963. This was one of the worst seasons in the Rainiers' history as their parent team, the Boston Red Sox, pulled much of the team's talent to the big league level including three starting pitchers. The neighbor collected signatures on the ball and gave it to the donor as a memento. Some of the signatures on the ball include: John Boyle, Russ Gibson, Don Gile, Dave Hall, Bill Harrell, Stan Johnson, Dalton Jones, Hal Kolstad, Merlin Nippert, Rico Petrocelli, Jim Rivera, Elmer Singleton, Archie Skeen, Rac Slider, Bob Smith, R. G. Smith, Bill Spanswick, George Spencer, Jerry Stephenson, and Mel Parnell (manager).
