Sign for South Park Poultry Company, ca.1900-1920
The South Park Poultry Co. was one of the earliest tenants in Seattle's Pike Place Market. The Market opened in 1907, and South Park Poultry first occupied the Triangle Market building in 1908, where this sign hung for many years. The Pike Place Market is one of the oldest continuously operated farmers' markets in the US. Local farmers, craftspeople and merchants have travelled to the market and set up shop for over one hundred years. The Market is a top destination spot for visitors to Seattle.
