The AYPE was held in Seattle in 1909 and commemorative ribbons were distributed throughout the duration of the fair. The maker of this quilt must have collected an assortment of the ribbons and inserted them into the design, including Seattle Day, Japan Day, Women's Suffrage Day, Chinese Day, and many more.
