Rainier Bank has roots going all the way back to the National Bank of Commerce which was founded by Seattle lumberman-banker Richard Holyoke in 1889. When Rainier Bank was acquired in 1987 by Security Pacific Corporation, it was the second largest bank in Washington State. This sign was donated to MOHAI when the name changed to Security Pacific Bank Washington in 1989.
