Flag used in Charles Lindbergh parade in Seattle, 1927
On September 13, 1927, aviator Charles A. Lindbergh (1902-1974) landed the Spirit of St. Louis at the Sand Point Naval Air Station and was honored in a ticker-tape parade through downtown Seattle. This flag was on one of the cars in the parade and the donor's father was the driver. Lindbergh’s stop in Seattle was one of 80 he made on a three-month tour of the US.
