The Northwestern Glass Company was founded in south Seattle in 1932 and was making wine bottles and other glass containers for local customers since before the end of Prohibition. The manufacturing plant has gone through several owners and is now owned by Verallia, a subsidiary of Paris company Saint-Gobain.
