Rocking chair, ca. 1866
Order an ImageHiram C. Gill was a Seattle City Councilman for several terms from 1898 - 1907, then Mayor of Seattle twice, first in 1910, and then again in 1914. This chair came from his childhood home in Wisconsin and his mother rocked him in it as a baby. Somehow, it ended up with the Stimson family of Seattle.
