Flag with three stars representing three sons serving in World War I, 1918

This flag hung outside the home of Norval Hastings Latimer and Margaret (Moore) Latimer in Seattle. The three stars represent their three sons who served in WWI including Arthur Griffith Latimer, radio operator on Atlantic Transport of troops, US Navy ensign; Chester Moore Latimer, US Navy ensign in command of sub-chaser #308; and Earl Hastings Latimer, lieutenant in US Army, who fought overseas in France in the Balloon Corps.
