The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) is an international fraternal order founded in 1819 by Thomas Wildey in Baltimore, Maryland. It evolved from the Order of Odd Fellows founded in England during the 1700s. The IOOF's motto is "Friendship, Love and Truth," and promotes reciprocity and charity inspired by Judeo-Christian ethcis.
