Angie E. Burt (Mrs. Edwin Bowden) owned this trunk and she may have used it when she traveled to Walla Walla from San Francisco in 1865, then to Seattle in 1882. A tag on the trunk is from Lowman & Hanford Company. Lowman & Hanford was a printing and retail stationery business operating in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle from 1885 until the 1960s.
