Order an ImageMelvin Albert Weed began work as a clerk at the Bartell Drug Company in 1898. When he graduated from the University of Washington's School of Pharmacy in 1902, Weed worked as a pharmacist at Lake Washington Pharmacy, and in 1907, his partner (and father-in-law) sold the business to Weed. The store, now permanently located at 2601 Jackson Street, became Weed's Pharmacy in 1910 and operated under Melvin until his retirement in 1958. Weed used this press to print labels, billing, stationery, and advertisements for the pharmacy.
