Order an ImageThis scale model is an exact type made by J. I. Case Threshing Machine Company in Racine, Wisconsin. It was constructed by Eugene F. Dawson, whose father ran a creamery and also manned a threshing machine. Eugene worked for John Deere and Company in Waterloo, Iowa, before WWI, and continued his job as a troubleshooter for the tractor company after the war. He moved to Seattle in 1921. By the 1940s, he had established Dawson Machinery Company and Dawson Tool and Abrasive Company. As a hobby, Dawson enjoyed making scale models, such as this three inch-to-one foot scale thresher model.
