X-Ray Therapy Machine, ca. 1895-1896

This x-ray therapy machine was used by Dr. Lorenzo L. Stevens, who claims it was the first of its kind to be used in Seattle. Stevens was an early Seattle practitioner who had an office in the Stimson Building and used this device until about 1955. X-Ray therapy was used for treatment of deep seated malignant cancerous growths.
