Brass pencil case from McDonald Grade School, ca. 1920
This pencil case is from the McDonald Grade School, located at NE 54th Street and Latona Ave NE in Seattle. The school was named after the Seattle School Board's president, Judge F. A. McDonald, who died in 1913 while the school was under construction. Four of McDonald's grandchildren attended the school. Today, it is the McDonal International Elementary School.
