Chronological Chart of Ancient, Modern, and Biblical History, 1883
Order an ImageThe original chronological chart was printed in 1871. This is a revised and enlarged version printed in 1883, and initially owned by Judge Thomas Burke, a prominent Seattle lawyer who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Washington Territory from 1888 to 1889. This chart was later used by the Seattle Center for Constructive Thinking which evolved into the Center for Spiritual Living located on Sand Point Way. Established by Netta Holmes in 1921, this church has always been dedicated to providing a place for those seeking a connection to God, a Higher Power, and/or a Universal Presence with no ties to any particular religion. Ordained by the Reverend Netta Holmes, playright Garland Anderson served as a minister from 1929-1939, and was the first Black person ordained in a white church to minister to a white congregation.
