These beaded wedding shoes were worn by Edana Collins Ruhm (1880-1967) for her 1906 Seattle wedding to Thomas Francis Ruhm. Edana was born in Seattle to John Collins and Angela Jackling Collins. She was a fixture in Seattle society, living at the Collins mansion for most of her life. She travelled extensively and gave lectures in Seattle about her experiences. Her father John Collins was a prominent early Seattle resident and the fourth Mayor of the city.
