Shell goblet, possibly made by Washington State pioneer, ca. 1850s-1880s
This goblet is thought to have been hand decorated by an early white settler in the Pacific Northwest using shells from the local beaches in the Seattle area. The glass eye was probably from a doll that had been brought with a family when they settled in this region.
